I-a. Biography

Photo of Jon at the Reference Desk Jon Ritterbush joined the library faculty of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2009. He currently holds the title of E-Resources and Serials Librarian and the rank of Associate Professor within the Calvin T. Ryan Library.

Photo of Jon Ritterbush Jon received a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois in 1999, and a Master's in Education and Public Administration from Regent University in 2009.  He has previously served at Regent University in Virginia, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and the Hancock County (Indiana) Public Library.

Jon majored in history at Albion College, and is still an avid student of American history. In his free time, he enjoys running, reading the latest PCWorld and learning about new technologies. His other hobbies includes studying meteorology and storm chasing; his home weather station is online at Ritterbush.com.

Jon and his wife, Laura, both hail from the Midwest and have two sons, Kyle and Justin.
